Dalton’s class is a mix of urban and modern dance with a focus on rhythm, musicality, pulse and flow. During the class you get the chance to explore his style. Dalton’s work is a combination of multiple disciplines; such as spoken word, hip hop, contemporary and breakdance.

Urban Dance
Dancer and choreographer Dalton Jansen (Rotterdam, 1993) graduated from Urban Contemporary (JMD) in Amsterdam in 2018. His choreographies combine both hip hop and contemporary dance. Dalton has won several awards in recent years (with The Double Collective – and in 2021 he founded his own dance company BLACK BIRDS. In recent years he developed his own dance vocabulary under the wings of Conny Janssen Danst, DOX and Production House Theater Rotterdam (TR) as part of the new maker subsidy from the Performing Arts Fund NL.
In 2022 Dalton received the ” VSCD Jonge Zwaan 2022 “for creating the most impressive dance production for youth.
